Penny Black Saturday Challenge 3

Hi all, absolutely love PB images, so I thought I'd give the Penny Black Saturday Challenge a go. I feel abit of a cheat making an ATC instead of a card, but hey I love doing ATCs. We had to use a PB image and the colours brown, pink and green. It's hard to see but the base card is pink hammered with the edges chalked green. I'm not happy with the size of the brads, I think maybe they are too big. I love the googly eyes, my friend Holly uses them on her animals. Holly is only 4yrs old and has her own blog!(Holly's Blog). How cool is that!

Abbies Pony Card

My Mum-inlaw Norma asked if I could make a card for one of her Great Grandchildren Abbie. Abbie loves ponies, even has her own, so Buddly Ponies were just the ticket. The card was supposed to resemble a stable!! Sort of got it!! Loved making this one. I enjoy making a card far more if I know who it is going to. It's that labour of love thing. Thanks for looking xx

Card verses Card!

Two Anniversary Cards, One for my brother and the other for my friends. Which one do I like the best? I love the texture of hammered card, but linen always looks smarter. Being a magpie and liking shiney, the mirrored red i love, but the matt gold is classier! Living in Wales a wooden Love Spoon is a must, so that decision was easy.

Keeping The Family Happy!

After posting cards that I had made for my Dad and Father-inlaw, I thought I'd better even things out! so here are two cards I made, one for my Mum and one for my Mum-inlaw Norma. Almost identical I know, thats why I posted them together. It was the first embossing I'd used, think I prefer the swiss dots. The piccies are abit naff and you can't really see the layers, but hey they liked them! Oh and the second one I stickled, shame the first one had already been posted!!

How I Got Started!!

This card was the reason I started crafting. It was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and I couldn't find a card for them. I'd already bought the magazine and spookily in the middle was a 50th anniversary card. I liked the layout but thought I could make it abit more special. I set out printing the text from my computer, which took ages! then stained it with cold tea to give it colour. Gathered as much gold stuff :- ribbons, beads, fairy hair or something like that!, papers, you name it I panic bought it! Then I called a crafting mate in desperation for help! Tap on the door and in comes help with a tag maker and a cuttlebug! Never seen one before. Without that help I would still be there now!! That was last September!!!!! You might need to click to enlarge to see in detail!

Me and My Lovely Daughter Faye Race For Life

Hi All, what a busy weekend! All Wales Cub Funday on Saturday and Race For Life today. Those of you who know me will be flabbergasted to see a piccy of me because I HATE having my piccy taken. The only reason I have posted it is because me and my lovely daughter Faye were running in memory of my Husband Clive who passed away suddenly in January. Taking part in the race was sad but also happy . For everyone out there who has taken part in a Race For Life you know the wonderful feeling you get at the end, you really do feel you have done something worthwhile for your missing loved one. I'm not going to get all maudlin so I'll finish by saying, anyone out there still to do their Race for Life I hope you have been training because my thighs and bum are absolutely killing me!!!!!! Oh but we did do it in 45mins which we think is good for a first attempt! Roll on next year!!!

Fathers Day Cricket Card

Probably have to edit this one!! The pics are bad and the colours are not showing as good as in person, so to speak! I just love the pop-ups, Samcards are so versatile you can easily mix and match, add on or takeaway. You are supplied with so many images to play around with. With this card for my Dad I adapted the inside using papers from Madaboutcards, went abit mad with the cricket balls hanging and sticking them everywhere but hey he loves cricket. The inside is light blue in colour, so that shows my naff piccy taking. I'll try to improve on that!!!!!

How Good Am I !!!!!!!!!

After all the palaver with the buttons a few days ago, how good am I??!!! I managed all by myself to master this art! As you can see button mania and all linked! and I didn't pester my mate once!(on this occasion).

Susan of Samcards kindly emailed me her banner and I even managed that! If you haven't visited Samcards feel free to click. They are full kits and great to make. I will be posting some soon.

Most of you already know Cuddly Buddly, but please click away to your hearts content.

WHAT A PALAVER!!

Well what a palaver!! "How hard can it be" I asked myself. All I wanted to do was add the Cuddly Buddly Button! Got the button there ok then the fun started. Added some text under it and it shrunk! whats that all about? So deleted text and it stayed small! Tried deleting all of it and start again and ended up with 2 full size buttons!
If in doubt log out thats my moto!
Doesn't end there though, on my next attempt I got a large button "Yippee" I said, but did I leave it there? NO! I had to add a link and thats what I did and yes it shrunk again! This time it can stay small at least it has a link that i did myself!
If you got through that lot well done, please press my button to see if it still works!!
